He played one or two 3/4 years ago and has lived off potential ever since. He's a poor man's Vince which says everything you need to know about him.

Why was Malan dropped? Had a quality winter int the short stuff
So did every other batsman. Except Hales who also chucked away Root's wicket.
He is, I'm agreeing it's odd that Billings is ahead of him in the pecking order.
They wanted to rest Buttler and allow Bairstow to focus on batting so I guess that coupled with Malan's indifferent recent form gave Billings the nod (I'm not agreeing with it).
The Roy one was a leading edge and that happens
