come on. They blatantly couldn't award it to Saudi after having just awarded it to Qatar. that would be even too obvious for FIFA.

2030 seems to be going to Uruguay/Argentina/Paraguay.

If it goes to Saudi then the corruption is there for all to see and Infantino is asking for trouble.

Aye would have to be on the Falklands and travel across.

To be honest I like to see the WC in a new country but this one as been shite in the way of atmosphere. I would imagine Saudi would be worse.

Some of the games have been pure drama and it's definitely the best final I've seen. However does the host country have much to do with the quality or excitement matches produce?

It will all depend on money mate. Qatar have spent more money hosting the World Cup then any other nation and the Saudis would top that.

Uruguay and Argentina would be great, but not in a millions years could they justify spunking 300bn+ on hosting a tournament.

Qatar was there for all to see man :lol: Yet cos the footy was decent to watch nobody cares anymore thus it’s been a roaring success for Qatar and FIFA, opening the door for more winter world cups in despot countries.

The FBI investigation into Qatar all went quiet as soon as the USA were given 2026.

I do agree though I’d be shocked if 2030 didn’t go to the South American bid to tie in with 100 years of the World Cup.
 
There must be one due in Australia at some point. Would make every single game unwatchable mind as they’ll all be on in early hours. At best there’d be a game at 8am.
 
I think many Western countries aren't interested in a bidding war with the Arabs to host the tournament. These bids take a lot of time and effort and it's a pointless exercise for many countries, as we all know in advance who it will be awarded to - who is prepared to pay the most. Thank God I'm Scottish and will never have any reason to attend in the first place.
