Sam Fender

There’s nothing wrong with being Springsteen - lite. But to be able to even pull that off you have to be singing from the soul and believe in the lyrics you are writing. It can’t be fake. In my opinion him running down to St James Park like a giddy school girl when the Saudi’s took over practically rendered a lot of what he’d been singing absolutely worthless. A song like ‘aye’ was meaningless . Double standards, fake political awareness, ignorance. It’s sad tbh because he’s obviously talented.

I’ve said this about him on all these threads.

He had no interest in football up until the age of 18 by a mate who was his tutor at school.

His love of football coincided with the takeover and his management company promoting the over the top mag love

The wife knows people in the same music circle as him when he first started.

He had zero interest in football, let alone the mags. As mentioned, as soon as the Saudis rolled up, he played a blinder jumping on the bandwagon.

For the record, I’ve just heard is latest song. Absolute Springsteen rip off!
