Sam Conners Signs

Highlight the need for a change to rediscover his form.

He's obviously been recruited on what he has the capability to do and that a change will or could prompt an uptick in form. I can't say they're wrong and I Reckon good recruitemnt is in finding an underperforming individual. Maybe that's what he is.
Yeah I just think 2 years is a brave move, unless he's cheap. You wouldn't want him denying opportunities to younger (e.g. Hogg) or local players (e.g. Coughlin) while he plays himself back into form.

I guess we have to look to another option as you'd imagine the following might be released. Glover, Gibson, McAlindon and Bushnell.
I could see all four of them of them going the journey.
Just checking Conners' performances against us last season in red ball cricket.
At the Riverside he bowled 18-4-56-1 in our total of 452 and scored 0 & 29. We won by an innings.

At Derby he took 29-5-115-5 in our total of 575 and scored 33. Match Drawn.

Saw this announcement when I managed to get a quick 5 minute break at work this morning .

Totally out of the blue this one. So that's 3 signings so far for next season.

I wonder which is our bowlers is going to make way for him. I hope it doesn't restrict Hogg's chances.

We've not confirmed Rhodes yet mind

Anyone any idea why not?

I saw him bowl a couple of times this season. He didnt look too bad although nothing stand out. As others have said, his record is pretty average.

Pat Brown is the same age at Derbyshire. I'd much rather have him out of the two.

An odd one. Misfiring bowler in a team that hasn't won a First Class game for two years.

On current form I am not convinced I would pick him over any of our current second string.

Who though? Carse getting peddled for being a naughty boy? Killeen/McAlindon/Gibson released was
