Marwood would be an amazing appointment but feels a little pie in the sky.

The only thing going for it other than geography is that the Americans may be willing to pay him a hell of a lot, and he may want a new challenge after 11 years at City. And whilst he's MD there he has a lot of oversight from above, you'd imagine if he came to Sunderland he'd be pretty much THE guy as far as decisions are concerned.
He’d be the only bloke in the management and ownership structure of the club that had a f***ing clue about footy so you’d be right there mate.
What do you mean 'believing' though? He passed on info that clearly came from Donald or someone close to him. What would you prefer he had done?
Personally speaking I’d rather he’d kept his f***ing trap shut. I firmly believe he’s been used.

Thing is he'd just had an interview with SD and appeared, at the time, to be the only person outside of the club/Madrox that SD would entertain so I suppose he had no reason to doubt the info.

Still not quite done as of a few minutes ago:

On his transfer business: “We are not there yet, we are close to completing a deal before the weekend, which would be great for us. We will wait on one or two others.”
Parkinson added: “We have been speaking about Arbenit, he is a player we would like to bring in, he has good quality, can play across the back. We are close to bringing him in.
"That would be a boost for us."
Been close for a couple of weeks.
