The difference between us and them lot on the Tyne is that we always laugh off any takeover news and accept it because there's nowt we can do about it

Our outlook is ah well we're gutted it hasn't happened but it is what it is. But they are like oh my god the world has ended let's write to the prime minister and tell him to forget the pandemic just concentrate on getting the behedders in at NUFC
Excuse me, North and West Tyne most of South Tyne are Sunderland fans.

Or just dont read it. Hate all this "lock the thread" shite
I hate all this "dont read it" bollocks...
Can't remember, to be honest. It may have been in the press a little bit before the club website. Obviously, it's club news, so it will go on there, but any progress is entirely outside the club, especially if, as has been suggested, the deal involves a change of ownership of Madrox.
Change ownership of Madrox is a change of ownership of the club...

Because, legally, they aren't. And you're still missing the point. Any negotiations involve the Madrox shareholders, not the company itself. So they are the only ones who know what progress is or isn't being made.
The Madrox shareholders are the ones that own the club so any announcement made by "the shareholders" would still technically be coming from the club...

I understand Sunderland AFC owner Stewart Donald has entered a period of exclusivity with a prospective buyer - I believe it's not Mark Campbell or William Storey- with a view to selling before the season starts. Sale could be much sooner #safc

To be fair he did say it should be done before the season starts, so just another fortnight for the ITKs to keep guessing and kicking the can down the road. One of them will be spot on one day, just you wait and see ...!
