Not to get carried away but he fits the profile of exactly the sort we should be aiming for. If we managed to get him in and he looked strong then he would immediately become one of our biggest assets in terms of future transfer value. 22, 6'3 and left footed, similar to Matt Clarke at Portsmouth who went to Brighton for £3m last summer.

Hopefully we'll know one way or the other fairly soon. Should be easy for the journo who broke it to confirm that it's still not happening.

My issue with what Magnus is saying is that it is very specific i.e. the share holdings after the takeover. Unless his source is directly involved in any takeover meetings I just can't see how they can be so specific. I think Magnus is posting in good faith, but without knowing his source I think he may just be being passed some internal speculation and thinking it is fact. I hope I am wrong.

He has said his source is in the club and if/when a deal is done he will reveal his source as they wont be at the club anymore.

Not being funny, but he said Garbutt would be in training on Wednesday (coincidentally after a fake Nixon account tweeted it saying he was signing a few hours before he posted it), then said that centre half was at the training ground today (one hour after the player put a photo of himself at Newcastle airport)

Only thing I said was a while ago. He was offered a contract and its up to him. Salary cap came in and he is probably still looking at all offers on the table.
