The lads are wearing black shorts, so that makes it 1950's before Brown took over. Probably Blackpool, as Man Utd would have been a colour clash even then. Maybe 54/55. That was mid-September with a 51,500 crowd.

Just dug a bit deeper. The previous season Blackpool at home was at the end of September (so possibly decent weather) with a crowd of just under 61,000
