As if Mickey Gray has billionaires in his inner circle. Haway man, let's be realistic. He might though his TV work at Bein know a couple of people with a little bit of wealth but if you actually believe Michael Gray has THREE Dubai billionaires at his side you are absolutely off your rocker

The fact that Niall Quinn sold the club to his mate Ellis Short completely blows this theory out the water.

The timescales aren't plausible.

July 18th Gray saying hes scratting around for interest. Jult 25th. Barnes posts that Donald has entered a period of exclusivity...

I'd love nothing more than to be wrong. If Michael Gray takes over my football club with three Dubai billionaires in tow I'll gladly hold my hands up, say I was wrong and never post on this forum again

How do you know Gray wasn't just downplaying his chances in public on July 18th?

Of course, if you really are a Sunderland support, could you give a reasonable reason as to why refuse to believe the current rumours.

Not sure I agree with this mind. This was the craic at one point with FPP for some, where you either bought into the whole thing or you weren't a true fan.

It's entirely possible to remain sceptical about this stuff and be a fan. We've all had our fingers burned and I've been on both sides of it, can't really blame anyone for voicing their opinion.

That's the problem mate your coming across as if it's all or nothing, right or wrong no middle ground or grey areas.

If ya turn out to be wrong fair enough you gave your opinion and time proved you wrong but if your right fair enough again.

Doesn't mean ya have to stop posting if ya wrong and doesn't mean ya have to call out posts so strongly that ya disagree with.

We all know now you don't think its gray cause of the timeline.

Niall Quinn was the chairman of a Premier League football club and part of a consortium/ownership looking to sell said club. Bit of a difference

Michael Gray, Mmmmichael Gray 😳. What in the Michael Gray story says to you savvy businessman, intelligent negotiator.....

If I remember correctly the story went that MG had said they had enquired about buying the club, and were astounded at the asking price. He then stated he was looking for other investors to help them to try and broker a deal. Therefore on the 18th of July he had some sort of consortium already in place one would think, but needed more. Its quite plausible that one of his backers went and got a friend or two involved to mitigate the risk. I don't know of course but I live in hope that both Rubberneck and Prehab are right. Rather be glass half full than half empty, understand your concerns as we have been down this road before, but trying to stay positive rather than negative,.

Like I've said previously I bloody hope they're right but for me the timescales rule Gray out completely.

You don't go from "hey guys I'm trying" to one week later, sale close, exclusivity period

I didn't comment on his ability to negotiate, I just said your doubts rest entirely on the timing of a tweet.

As you say, Niall Quinn was in this position and must have met many potential buyers over the years. The same Niall Quinn that played with Gray for years, maybe they spoke? There's all kinds of ways Mickey Gray could find suitable investors.

You posted earlier that nobody knows fuck all, but here you are posting your version of events.

In reality, you also know fuck all.

Opinion is different to claiming you're offering itk information. From all the information we actually know do you genuinely believe we are on the brink of a Micky Gray left dubai billionaire takeover?

Been a season ticket holder since 1997, got married at the Stadium of light but aye I'm a mag because I have doubts that Michael Gray is about to take over the club with 3 Dubai billionaires.....
If you had doubts that 3 Dubai billionaires with Michael Gray as a figurehead were about to take over the club, I actually think people would respect you more ;)

For someone to just post “Off to Ipswich” and nothing else on a thread about us signing someone, would you think most would read that as opinion or someone claiming itk? Clearly people thought the latter to ask you for a source multiple times - but you demand solid supporting info when people make itk claims, correct?

You are getting pelters left and right here mate. Canny poster imho. Bit like a diva to say you will never post again. You will. 👍

Whoever is the new owner needs to try to buy Claudio reynas son cos he used to live in Hendon, got in the deaf club

That was just a case of totally forgetting a pretty little irrelevant thread. Was told by someone he was off to Ipswich, posted it off the cuff, didn't claim to have inside info or anything. Never thought about it again, didn't even know people had asked about it till tonight
Ok, odd, I get a notification every time someone quotes me, so I luckily wouldn’t forget a post if it was quoted 3 times, but maybe I have a special login. Fair enough.
