If he names them like he said thats a whole new ball game
Careful what you wish for...

" He said his consortium, which he claims is backed by “four sterling billionaires” reported to include West Ham United Football Club owners David Sullivan and David Gold, had a contract to buy the team in May but was held back by lawyers on the team’s side. "

Get him in like. Be funny as fuck

He mentioned an NDA for his 4 huge investors but whats the NDA for if their bid hasnt been accepted?.....and if they are that big, why dont they make a bid publicly and possibly scare off other interested parties?
He's likely to have an NDA between him and the investors, if they exist.

Im neither here nor there with it mate. Had our fingers burned already and what will be will be. I just hope whoever gets the club gets it for the right reasons, and is equipped to do the job asked of them.

Mate been so many long days and evenings pondering on what was going to happen to my beloved club. Sadly this is the modern World of football club ownership. It’s like a toy that “you” can get bored of so very quickly.
For every decent owner there are at least 5 bad ones.
All you can really do is buckle up and hope. I really hope your club enters some calmer water, gets that true stability and gets the sustainable success on the back of the passionate and loyal fanbase.

I wanted him to say he had hundreds of millions in the bank. Doesn’t sound like he’s putting much in at all if he does takeover

He said that 85% of the money will be by the other 4 investors. I'm going to wait to see who they are before dismissing this out of hand.
He admitted that the club needs investment on the playing side and that he has a long-term plan. Lets wait to hear what that is.
I can't honestly see what he has to gain by making all this up, it would finish him in business for good.

So just to clarify. The gray party don’t want Donald so he’s picking the others so he can stay involved and Rodwell who may lose his job otherwise is now drinking with Storey. This stinks tbh. Honestly I will not spend another quid on a club with that sneaker little shyster involved if this is once again all about him. Oh by the way- it sounds like the FPP who invested in him can’t wait to get rid. He is full of crap.

Didn't Barnes say at the start of all this, Donald doesn't want to stay.

Surely the would be a way around that if the money is there for the deal because I doubt SD has access to 9 million?

Nope. The charges can't be lifted until the loan is repaid. If the deal is foe the sale of Madrox, then that cash goes to Donald's company, SJD Leisure, as that owns the shares. That would still leave Madrox owing £9m, payable by the new owners. If the deal involves selling the shares in Sunderland, Madrox could repay it after the sale, but the shares in Sunderland are part of the security for the loan, as are some of the club's assets, and so they can't be sold while the loan is in place without FPP's agreement.

I've not seen him mention FPP.

Meeting our CEO suggests they're taking him a little bit seriously.

It's simple for me, he either shows he has the funds and Donald accepts the bid or he doesn't and nothing happens.

I don't see a scenario where he can buy the club but not have the funds so I don't see the issue people are getting wound up about.

I agree with you, but I think people are wound up because he’s clearly a time waster and an annoying one at that.

He criticized them in the interview today, called our groups who can overrule a takeover and don’t like him (or something like that)

You don’t meet a potential owner for a business deal in a busy pub if he’s serious.

f***ing cliche bingo in that interview!! There was no substance to anything he said so how can people say he has a proper plan and that what he said was spot on.

How gullible and insecure are some of our fans. Some fella comes on tells us we're mint and we're already bending over for him learning no lessons from past experiences. It's so easy, I can see how Stavely's got the Mags dancing to her tune when this is all it takes. Fuck it, I'm going to go and start a cult and get rich.

Gullible enough to fall for the same horseshit - albeit with a slightly less bizarre brand of PR spin from Methven - last time.

But, aye, I know. Whatever happened to twice bitten...

Nothing at all. He's supposedly in f***ing negotiations to buy the club.

And I'm more suggesting that, regardless of what he says, we shouldn't be so needy to be so easily sucked in by it and fawn all over him after a few empty cliches and platitudes!
Yep. That’s true of whomever owns us next. Safc fans should not trust the words of any owner. Let’s see what they actually do before lauding them this time.
