thats the nature of large complicated deals like this, it might drag on for months or it might have been going on for months before anyone knew. IF it happens it’ll be at the buyers & their solicitors timescales

Seeing as how I appear to be being called a liar on here again, can I just clarify two things.
1. During the whole saga last year, I received personally one piece of information, which I passed on, and that was that the due diligence was about to be concluded. This was before the Rochdale game, and the Americans were at the next home match.
2. After he was banned, Reiver asked me to post some comments on his behalf, which I did. Those were his comments, not mine, and I was clear on that at the time.
I also mentioned that Donald seemed optimistic after the Wimbledon game when I was having a drink with The Hat, and he came up to have a chat.
That's it. I've never claimed to be massively in the loop and, let's fact it, geographically it's a non-starter even without Covid.
