A lot. Like I said the other day, do you think his reputation is better or worse for the PR guff he's achieved recently? Remember that he was annihilated by the Haas PR/court case, publicly excoriated for being a lying twat.

And here are a bunch of recent headlines:

Founder of soft drinks firm Rich Energy bids to buy Sunderland William Storey claims he will invest £50m in Sunderland if he takes over
William Storey claims he has 'blue-chip' backers ready to take over at Sunderland

It doesn't matter that people will be sceptical, it matters that he gets his name in the news for literally anything else except being a con artist.

The issue with this though is that it only takes anyone to deny it and he looks like even more of a con artist on a bigger scale.

No idea what his game is mind, I just don't see the publicity helping much.

Someone on here said Magnus was chief exec under Ellis Short. Been asked over there if this was true. Says no he has never worked for the club but he knows people that have.
There was a scandie sounding feller on the board during shorts reign iirc.

I've been pissed off at him for using our club for his own self publicity needs but now he's mentioned a 20 point plan and some more flattery for fans I'm balls deep into him.
There has to be some truth in his bid, can't see why he would waste his time for a little bit of publicity

Is it not a possibility that he really wants to own the club but doesn't have the funding? I know some have suggested he hasn't shown proof of funds to the club yet. Maybe he's hoping that if he makes enough noise about the plans he's got, someone else might get in touch and say they'd like in on it. If he knows people who could give him £15m or whatever he might be hoping to smoke out people who can raise the rest. That's all I can think of, unless it's purely for attention and to have his name known for something other than Haas and a drink that almost no one has ever seen

Maybe, just seems to be pointless if he's just wanting a bit of publicity. Sure we will find out in time. He's persistant and comes across as passionate, but also a bit crazy
