No they don't. FPP is a company set up by the 3 directors who manage Dell (MSD's) investments. It's a totally seperate beast

Yeah, I wasn't meaning FPP the company, I was meaning FPP the people, who are the same three people who manage Dell's investments. I didn't word it very well.

That was MSD Capital, not FPP. MSD also loaned money to Southampton. It simply looks like MSD are looking at football as a good way of making money as lenders to them. Good move by them. Most clubs have lousy credit ratings, and interest rates are appropriately high. Their charge documents are structured in a way that makes it almost impossible for them to lose their money too. It's also worth noting that at least one of FPP has now retired from MSD, and now has nothing to do with it (possibly Fuhrman, but it might be Phelan).

Furhman.

Apparently he was the one most impressed with Sunderland if i remember correctly .
Although possible hearsay.

Furhman has left MSD and apparently setting up on his own. MSD UK has Platek and Phelan names on companies house documents.

Could they still own a football club with them loaning Southampton and derby money? Or would it be seen as a conflict of interest.

Nothing to stop them owning a club. Loans could never be an issue because it confers no governance rights, and also would make it impossible for any bank to have more than one club as a customer with an overdraft facility.

They couldn't be on the board of, or own shares in, more than one club.

Lad over the road has just the deal will see 2 millionaires leave the club and 2 billionaires join.

3 billionaires will then join at a later date.

In fairness, and I’m not having a dig, but a few days ago you said Storey was Donald’s preferred bidder and that just wasn’t true at all.
There's every likelihood it will have been true from his perspective. He's made no bones that his info is coming from MG's group, they probably were being told by Donald's camp that Storey is the preferred bidder as some sort of brinkmanship, particularly if they were at impasse as the lad said.

Who is this lad? Any track record?

He’s posting what he has heard, anyone could do that I suppose.

A bit silly of Donald’s camp to come out in the press to rubbish the Storey rumours if that’s the case.

“Sorry Micky, we’re more keen on Storey.”

“Oh but the newspapers are saying it’s rubbish.”

“Oh yeah, I forgot we told them that.”

They wanted people involved within the area who has played here and from here. Which i think is a good thing.
I 100% agree with that, they understand the passion, the area, and what it takes to make a go of it. I don’t suppose there is a chance of it being resurrected, or is the stubbornness of Donald too much in your honest opinion?

Wouldn't put it past Donald tbh.

Where you can get very dodgy owners with ulterior motives I can't think of many that have ever been so out of depth as Donald is. Pretty much everyone he's ever encountered since he took over here has either had his pants down or fucked him off.

I think he implied that Storey's impromptu visit last week spooked Donald and messed up his hand in that regard, hence why he said talks moved on a little before falling apart today.
