We know England squads aren't picked that way though. My personal opinion is we missed our opportunity due to Southgate's inability to make a substitution against Italy. I hope I'm wrong, but I have low expectations for this tournament.
 
Between 2022-2024 you could see what he could do but injuries/the way he's being platformed by Arteta now really have killed him sadly. Gets put into conversations he should not be in as a RW

He’s a better player than the one who came on to replace him, both for Arsenal and England.

Tonight though he was a one trick pony, cutting in on his left foot and never getting his shot away

They targeted him because he was a key threat. The pundits praised his discipline, rightly. Odegaard and Gyokores were poor not Saka. Saka gets way more criticism than he's due. Maybe not from you but it's a social media phenomenon.

He's a cracking little player, and I'd love to see him here filling our "problem" position.
 
He's had a really mediocre season and tonight was just a continuation of it

Unfortunately for him he probably needs a full summer break but we've got a world cup to go to so he'll be starting the next season with no chance to recover properly
