Saka’s goal today

I thought he was a bit overrated a few years ago when i saw him for England but how he’s proven me wrong..he’s superb.

He's a tremendous player who is only going to get better. He could easily have crumbled after missing that penalty in the Euro Final but NO he has just shrugged it off and got on with it showing us all that he's one of the best in the world atm. Destined for bigger things . Saw him play Wembley and score an absolute pearler not to dissimilar to yesterday's goal

I’ve just cheered this today watching match of the day. My dad hates him, purely a being a black kid thing. I have no other answer for the disrespect of a top tier player.

I love him, Young lad, loads of grief for being near England’s best player. Is he 21 yet?
Wtf.

I work with a bloke who reckons he isn’t English. Yes, I have challenged him on his blatant racism before anyone asks.

Tbf to the OP I think a lot of the older generation have racist tenencies that are ingrained in them, through pure ignorance, if nothing else. Anyone who claims all their 80+ year old relatives don't have a racist bone in their bodies is probably just lying to themselves and on here. My grandad (rest his soul) died about 8 years ago and was an old man. He used to regularly say inappropriate things and I'd always be giving him a bollocking. Different eras entirely where, sadly, stuff life that used to be accepted.

Lots weren’t racist and they also didn’t have the benefit of the PC brigade tutting

Wouldn’t have had the NFL as a vehicle of left wing radicalisation!

You’d be surprised what egg chasing can achieve

In all seriousness, many of the old guard don’t realise just how much of an issue racism is and I’ve been on the end of a few hidings in the past for standing up to racist and antisemitic comments.

Sadly this type of attitude is still prevalent at SOL, Boo’ing the knee was disgraceful. Kick it out.
Booing the knee and hating a player because he's black is entirely different though- as mentioned in many threads on here. Do you have any clear examples of the prevalence of racism at the sol?

Tremendous player, he would be the first name down on the England sheet. Skilful, confident and willing to get stuck in, just about everything you want in a player.
And credit to Southgate for picking him and sticking him in the national team at such a young age.
