It was disappointing. Nee idea, other than a betting syndicate :eek: as to why they didnt go for it.
 

2 match series and they wanted to head to durban undefeated, according to smith. Pollock was critical on ssn.

Folk say we are defensive minded but that was taking the piss. So is the fact there are so many dead rubber 5 and 6 game odi series', yet they cant find the time for a 3 game test series.

We'd have only gotten about 290 though, we dont even score 400 in the first innings

Obviously that's what the intention was but I think it's sad that a team in any sport didn't go for the win because they were too scared of losing and that was definitely the case today. They were in a fairly strong position to win and didn't even try today, I hope they get thrashed in the second game.
