It’s hard to keep perspective after the amazing start and slump since January, but it’s important we keep reflecting back on this. Truth is most of us would have taken relegation with a half decent points haul and a single derby win back in June last year. To stay up comfortably, beat Chelsea away, play Liverpool off the pitch at Anfield, draw against an unreal Arsenal side at the time, draw at home to city and to beat that lot twice is an exceptional season no matter how you cut it.

There’s three very poor teams coming up - Ipswich wouldn’t have even finished above us with that points haul last season and whoever comes up from the playoffs isn’t well set at all financially or ownership wise. That’s a great chance to stabilise ourselves in the PL for at least a third season and to build a proper quality gap between us and the bottom of the league, whoever that may be. We have to look to progress slowly year on year and we’ll be in a good place.
 
Walking away from Wembley in May I’d have gladly taken finishing 17th on GD.

What the club achieved in a short few weeks last summer was outstanding. That group of complete strangers have gelled into a competent mid table premier league side which is a brilliant achievement.

Plenty of reasons to look forward with real optimism.

Its been a tough few weeks but overall the season has been excellent. Excited to see what's in in store for the summer.

Well said mate 👍 It's easy to forget how daunting the Premier looked when we were in the Championship, it looked like a massive step up. The way the board, manager and players have handled it has been fantastic, hats off to them.
