Safe Standing

The original swc hardcore have always stood, catch up Roker enders
Surprised thar the sw upper isn't getting rails. Hopefully it will follow next summer. Or maybe I've missed something?

Like you say, it's the only section of the ground that has stood from day one in 97.

Everyone from row 25/26 upwards always stand like. Has been that way for years as long as I’ve had my seat there.
And lower. I'm in 20, 3 up from walkway and nobody round there sits. Maybe minute or two throughout game to rest legs if games shite or injury or summit.

Maybe stewards will start enforcing sitting to all outside of that zone.

They did try a few year back to no avail. I've a feeling there will be a push on it though,or what's the point of a standing zone. Neebody took any notice :)
The whole end will be safe standing eventually. Wolves did it as quickly as they could because similarly the end behind their goal where the people making an atmosphere were never sat down either.

I'm tier 2 U39 row 23 so is it safe standing? Wouldn't it have been better just to add a map of the standing zone? It's not gonna change anything for us anyway as we always stand?

Fans are advised that rails will be installed across blocks U14 and U37, from row 23, and blocks U38 and U39, from row 24.

Been standing for the full 90 mins at the back of the south stand for years anyways. Not much will change but good on the club for officially implementing it.

Felt weird when I went to the Mallorca game pre season at the SOL and had to sit in the east stand.

Will never happen, but i wonder what the capacity of the ground would be if the entire areas behind both goals and the fronts of the East and West stands (paddocks) were turned into terracing and the amount of fans allowed in was on a par with the Roker Park days. At least 70.000 i would have thought.
