SAFC vs QPR - THERE IS A LIVE STREAM

Non attendees upset because they can't watch a live stream.
I know there are people abroad and people who live a fair distance away but people who live local I have no sympathy for.

The lads who go deserve praise. The local lads who don't go also deserve praise.

Clubs in this league made different choices about how they would handle streaming of games this season for overseas fans. Surprise surprise - our club made the shitest one. The whole 90 minutes at noon the following day? What a joke.

Agreed. Or just terrible use of English?

They saying you need the app and that's the only way to watch the game? May not bother if so, laptop logon would allow viewing on large screen.

It refers to mobile or tablet, laptop should be ok?

"Live streams won't be available on mobile or tablet devices via a browser but can be viewed via the QPR App"

If you screened it live surely it would be the middle of the night for some viewers, that would be another moan.

Damn, I'm in in Edinburgh for the weekend and thought there wasn't going to be a stream so it was a lucky weekend to visit

Not ifollow as QPR have not joined. But...from HK Supporters club via the QPR site. For overseas fans only but a VPN probably will get it too:

Hi,

I’ve seen that Sunderland aren’t live streaming their league fixtures to your overseas fans this season so thought we’d make you aware that you can subscribe to QPR’s live streaming service for Saturday’s game with a match pass for just £5.

We will be providing a multi-camera HD production of the match at the Stadium of Light which includes replays, graphics and commentary.

Sunderland supporters based overseas can sign-up just for Saturday’s match at the bottom of this page for £5.

On the day of the match your login will unable you to access the live stream in our matchday centre that will appear on 's homepage if you are watching via a computer or laptop.

If you want to watch on your phone or tablet you will need to download the QPR app (you must enable location services when you install it) for free. Links below. Please be aware that as an EFL restriction the matchday centre version on won’t work on a phone or tablet so you will have to login via the app.

Hope you don’t mind us email you but we thought that you might like to let your members know they have an opportunity to tune in also.
Just been looking at their site, isnt there another fee that you have to pay alongside the £5?

How. Because they are not streaming live a home game which could affect the gate.
It's an admirable stance you take, but ultimately the wrong one. I'd wager there's a 99.99% chance that Sunderland being on ifollow has zero impact on attendances. Take the Premiership for example, you could get a HD stream for free week in week out. People still went. People don't go if the football is shite, they've more important things to spend their money on, and ultimately Saturday stops being fun.

This is the first game this season that isn't available via ifollow or live on TV somewhere afaik. Those willing to go through the effort of a VPN and signing up for Sunderland's iFollow will be willing to sign up weekly for other teams. The only difference is it's not Sunderland getting their money. It's a laughable, backwards decision not to take part or set up our own.

Fair enough, but I like my reply better.

Maybe I'm being slack, but I can't find the option to buy the matchday pass. I can see the words 'Match Pass' but no options to buy one. I'm registered, logged in, and have my VPN set up. Any hints lads?

Edit: Nevermind, think I've sorted it. Clicked on my name in the top right and bought it through my account.
