I see how you read things and it's not how I read then. He shot it straight down along with other past 'rumours' yet you don't see it and he made points? :confused::lol: Would you care to show us exactly where he made points as to why he doesn't think it's likely and that he didn't simply dismiss this latest rumour (as he has for a while now) by saying people are getting carried away? :confused: In fact it's OK, no need as there isn't any points in his post as saying some are getting carried away by discussing various things in a takeover discussion thread is certainly not adding to discussion apart from creating shite like I'm typing now ;)

Anyway, what do you think about badge thing? Is it a good thing to consider in the future? Presuming the takeover happens then I do think it will happen but in the future when they've got an idea of where the club is heading. Though it could be next season as won't they be looking for a new strip deal etc? I'd bet they'd probably look at the old stuff as surely they'd know they'd sell boat loads of tops using the older simpler designs.

Honestly, I'm not that fused, I think there have been some good points made either way.

If they want a new start then great, as long as its something that doesn't annoy too many of the fans.

It's not something that would really affect me, I'll be saving my outrage or undying support for when they announce the strategy.
 
The badge we have now (which I personally don't like although I do have it tattoed on me) could be used as an official club crest ie on letter heads ,club suits still adorn the gates and seats etc and a new simplified badge or retro badge or just the ship badge used on merchandise players shirts training wear etc..a new badge pays for itself with all the merchandise people will buy so they're up to date so to speak...man Utd and man city and rangers and I'm sure more use this concept of 2 badges

One of The Rangers badges is a memorial one cos they died mate 😉

Someone posts a new snippet of rumour info yet @bobster999 tells people they're getting carried away, exactly who has got carried away when there's no proof that it won't happen? Given it could happen as nobody on here can say either way for certain then a bit of speculation based on snippets of info doesn't harm anyone really now does it?

If I had some info fed to me that came from a decent source and I passed it on in good faith such as Michael Dell is going to come flying in on the back of a flying unicorn and tell us he's putting in heated seats and every game you get a free pint and pint along with a monorail all over Sunderland then it should be discussed, not instantly dismissed like quite a few on here like to do straight away, more so, depending on where it's originally come from.



Getting back to this badge rumour rather than just dismissing it as I'd be getting carried away ;) If it was looked at then I reckon they'd possibly look at the old badge being within something but with SUNDERLAND AFC clearly visible just like Man City did a few years back to make it simple and clearly Man City's unlike the last one. I don't think it would be something that would happen straight away but I can see why it may be something that may well happen in the near future as they look to grow the 'SAFC brand' globally.

I've been to one baseball match in my life it was shit btw finished 1 nil to the home team I think.i was with several other safc fans Tommy Truman Freddy imo robbo from London..the home team were .......MIAMI FUCKIN MARLONS...that's gotta be a sign...the stars have aligned..sitting thru that shit match or game whatever it's called has led to this takeover...so I take full credit when we get to champions league final
