They’ll do whatever it takes to get the club back into the PL in two seasons. Once back there, they’ll build something very special, recruiting the very best staff who’ll come, set up a world class scouting network and do whatever they can to make us sustainable yet winning things. They’ll spend a lot of cash, but they’ll make damn sure the club brings in a great deal of money as well. They’ll raise our profile by tirelessly and relentlessly spreading the word in every corner of the planet.

These lads aren’t going to settle for scraping mid table finishes and mediocrity, they’ll want us in Europe. They’ll want us playing magical football, gaining new fans and respect from all over the world. If they didn’t believe they could achieve this with SAFC, they wouldn’t be buying us, regardless of Netflix documentaries. They’re not mugs.

I’m not in any doubt whatsoever there will be great times ahead. I’m just on edge, praying for the announcement that the deal is completed. I think a lot of posters are underestimating just how far these lads are about to take us...

Done.

Ross will be gone along with all the backroom staff thats a certainly

They put plenty of money into the Miami Marlins who have shown no desire to field a competitive team but will still make plenty of money no matter how shit the results. It's all about money for these guys. Luckily, football is different than the franchised American sports and the only way for them to make something on their investment is to get us up to the PL. I just hope these guys understand that going in.

If we want the best to come and play for us then the Training ground and everything that goes with it cannot be in Sunderland, we need to relocate it down South, that would entice great players to our club, combine that with world-class coaches, a Scouting network who actually know what to look for and a state of the art Academy to bring on youngsters and we could be on a winner.

I will believe it when I see it.

If there's anything you learn as an SAFC fan it's not to get your hopes up too much.

change the shirts to dell, change the ground to dell, sponsor netflix part two and top ten finish for three years.....all sadly in this division

They just provided a loan to the Marlins. They didn't actually buy them.

Also American sport rewards a sustained period of being shite because of how the draft works. Under American rules our last 5 years in the Premier League would have been enough to buy a title winning side. Maybe this is what they failed to explain to Short.

To stop you being embarassed in future marra the expression is "toe the party line"
Baaa!....I think the Scrapie might be starting to take effect on you dollie!...To toe the party line leads to a bland stepford wives type world full of people who happily clap at anything and i have railed against that al my life!If you want some sheep to round up gan across to not606,the pasture is orfully lush but the fodder is a little vanilla for my taste, and the smug farmer is a litte rough with the elastrator if you wander of his path.

I know what I'd be doing as a priority.... I'd ensure we scout the very best young players in the North of England and ensure we have outstanding coaches to then develop them towards playing to a set style and 'DNA' that permeates throughout the whole club - from the bairns to the first team.

I'd thought that's where we were going when the Ajax guy came in under Murray but, while the academy has had some notable successes we've been found lacking in the area we can least afford to cut corners on.

And yes, I know this is the blueprint every other ambitious club is also working to but we have to find a way to be somehow ahead of them when it comes to getting the very best players from this area at least.

FWIW I think it will come off, and if they stick to what they have allegedly said using the word “legacy” I would hope they see us as a long term project and not being fly by nights. Fingers crossed it will happen and then when they release a statement we will know exactly the long term plans.

I think it is of the upmost importance that their intentions are presented with absolute clarity. No fan service, just concise of what their targets are and how they will achieve them.

The elephant in the room!

Where did you read or hear about about paying off the debt, did the chairman show you this info, the whole scenario is a grey area that needs clarifying fir the sake of transparency.
One of rr podcasts he was asked about the parachute payments, and to be honest he went around the houses with his answer?
The Reiver bashing is beyond tedious now. Get a grip lads
Listen fella reiver has broad enough shoulders to cope!He got me banned from not 606 for simply asking questions, so yes i personally am a little peeved at his ability to control the narrative and the injustice of it fella and to use your words its a little tedious this blind support for reiver.

Why do folk think that it is right and and proper to tell another person what to post ,why cannot you leave people to their own opiniions?I have nothing against reiver personally but i have different opinions to his on some things and as long as i am not abusive i think a fans forum of any worth shoul allow me to voice those opinions.Press the ignore button, report the post if you think its abusive ,or alternatively post a reply without resorting to rude comments or abuse!
