I think you may be assuming that there are individuals out there petty and small minded enough to be “fed up “ at this point. And to totally disregard the fact that they have turned the club into something attractive enough to bring the kind of interest from this calibre of potential investor.
Personally if it were to go tits up at the last minute, I’d be disappointed but I’d realise that these things can happen with deals such as this. I certainly wouldn’t think any less of the owners for it.
That's suggests you've decided it going tits up wasn't their fault.

It may have been, if that happens, so nothing wrong with blaming the architects of failure for their failure. Belief and loyalty are admirable qualities, but blind belief and loyalty are a fucker.

Took a bit of a turn this when I had a look first thing

Absolutely barmy - the rain woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep so logged on only to see what has to be one of the most bizarre sequences on here. And there have been many.
I wonder how many got up saw the number of new posts and thought something had happened 😂

Me and something had happened but not what we thought

It may or may not. That would depend on the circumstances. Let’s just say, at this point in time there are those cocked and ready to give the owners both barrels should this not go through based on nothing but their opinions and little if any facts.
I’m assuming our owners are doing their best to get this done, otherwise why entertain it in the first place.
I’m far from blind.

Don't shoot the messenger

Been told the hold up is due to Short owning lots of surrounding land and the Hilton. The land is needed for (if) the Americans want to complete the concourse. Also, Sartori negotiating a price or his shares apparently.

Sounds like a haggling process that takes time and there is no rush I guess. I hope the source is accurate, because I don't think Short would see it pass by after his previous fantastic gesture. As for JS , it would appear he was hoping for promotion so he could let loose with cash, as we already knew was the general idea as intimated by SD. It didn't happen and obviously that caused upset and unrest, as it has to us all.

The key focus for me is that if they are wanting to expand the concourse, or are at least thinking about it. It suggests forward planning for a positive successful future.

There’s quite a lot of posters for some reason who won’t date criticize the owner for anything, I don’t get it.

I need to find a way of using "pure river slut" in my site meeting later.

"Yes Mr architect of course we can install the detail exactly as you have drawn it as our lads are in fact magicians not roofers, you pure river slut"

That may well appear a tad unprofessional?

I once had to include the words raspberry blancmange in a presentation, was quite easy really but pure river slut, it’s a toughie

The only land Short owns is the Hilton

But what are we criticising for over the takeover? Are we genuinely discussing whether it’s ok to level criticism at someone over a hypothetical situation?

I know we’re stretched for discussion topics but god that’s scraping the barrel to further an agenda.
