Fuckin hell mate, I was talking about Riv saying they were coming BACK OVER on a plane. You then started talking about restaurants in Cleadon. What is the relevance??? How passionate you are about this restaurant I'm sure they were there when they were over for the Wimbledon game. But I was talking about Riv saying they were coming back.

This! I've just had a quick look and Reiver didn't even post owt ITK within the first 100 pages and few days on that Takeover Rumours thread that was started on 21st August. He eventually said something but I can't be arsed to look to see when yet some have made out that he was the one who started it all :lol: This thread below called American based takeover is the one that started the early rumours from an article by the Sun isn't it? I didn't see it at the time and a quick search shows Reiver didn't even post in it :lol:

The first person to mention Dell in any way was @Julio here on Aug 18th. This was 3 days before the takeover rumour thread with that tweet from Mark Evans so I blame Julio for everything :lol::lol:

So as we've seen, people get to hear things and pass on that info as did Julio and he's been proven to be right as it was Dell in some way :cool: As I said, it's just like office gossip and if people pass on info in good faith then I'm all for that regardless of it eventually happening. I think 99% of fans are happy with this but to then get constant snipes (AKA trolling) then it's obvious there will be a reaction from the so called ITKs and other posters towards the trolling. The sad fact is some on here thrive in those scenarios and it just spoils the threads as we've seen. Obviously there's other sources such as ALS/RR/medi/BBC/Barnes etc that have also said stuff that has got people's hopes up but if it turns out wrong then those who said similar on here get all the crap thrown at them.

I'm sure there is stuff that has been said on here and elsewhere that has had some element of truth that has been shown. For example a few on here will have known about this last month and it was hinted at by Reiver.

thats what I said all along. took him 3 days to even post anything and even then it was just chit chat, then all of a sudden he's got people sat in the office where the deals happening texting him. if he was that in the know it would be him who started the thread. he did start one over on 606 but chose to not post the tweet that davyred posted so it looked like him breaking the news. says it all really

You need to check your post. You said that Reiver said they were coming over a month ago and that it never happened. It did, and they went to Romanos.

Have you seen what Stone Pony has said 'elsewhere'? If not, go take a look as it might brighten up the day as it seems to back up what another supposed ITK also said about what happened after the talk-in. Though as mentioned it could be ways to finds leaks also ;)

:lol: That Goa post on Facebook is a perfect example of how a rumour gets going. What actually happened was someone who posts on here was in Goa and saw someone from the club with a few blokes having a meal. He posted on here that new owners were in Goa (they weren’t). Owners of Goa read on here that the group of blokes who had just left were the new owners so posted on their Facebook that the new owners had been in. Then it gets picked up on here again and it’s now a fact.
