I think Riv is a decent bloke and has obviously done a lot for fans looking for tickets etc. I just think he’s got a bit carried away or even fed a few lines to see if they end up in here....

The takeover is obviously still on and progressing but we don’t know when things will finally be done and how much there is today before it happens. It sounds like it is well progressed but still lots of stuff to sort out. The fact that a deal seems to have been agreed is the quick bit. The myriad of smaller stuff in order to reach final agreement is the stuff that takes time.

Let’s say there are going to be redundancies to sort ..how would you feel if that was revealed to the public before you personally knew. SD needs to keep things tight. There sounds as though there was little information either way last night so let’s just wait and see. My personal view is that it will eventually happen but may take a few weeks and even when it does it will be low key and steady investment over a number of years.

This , I think some people need to get a bit more realistic in their expectations.
Also , if it was that imminent then SD would probably not be at a workingmans club in Consett (with all due respect to the place etc)
and the next “talk in” at the SoL will not be the chosen platform to announce any deal either.

Maybe an initial reaction to SDs statements last night. Just a gut reaction unfortunately. Obviously the proof will be in the pudding.

Just seen his recent tweet. Maybe he looked back and thought he had put a bit of a negative spin on it but has worded it better this time.
