he said it on multiple occasions. Now he is saying via grumpy old man that the deal is 99% done. so which is it?

It was Grumpy old man who said the deal is 99% done, not Reiver. Would you care to apologise for being wrong and misquoting Reiver yet again?

I don't think that's fair. Pip had the balls to query whether the takeover had in fact taken place already or not. It didn't make him popular and rather than being controversial, it has led to the statement that the takeover is indeed not complete yet.

Tbf only a fool would have taken the bet.... putting gambling addicts to 1 side, only someone who categorically knew it wouldn’t happen would take the bet.

I guess the reason for the angst though mate is that it clearly isn’t done. Even GOM only committed to only 99% just today .... so, in the end, saying it was ‘done’ appears to be incorrect.

Or it could be done but the announcement is being delayed for reasons we can only guess .

The information posted by been in good faith and to try and pass on Information that hasn't been in the public domain.

The examination of what riv and gom have posted is frankly mental

The lad that took the bet admitted that he had some issues, rightly people mentioned this and the bet was then cancelled

yes the takeover info was coming long before he got involved. he obviously does have some info but a lot of what he has said has proved to be wrong as well.

Reiver did say that most of his posts were guesswork on several occasions iirc. The only things he posted that weren't guesswork, hopefully will still happen …
