SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

It’s usually always the same faces you see at away games. I have to agree with that yes there will always be the odd few but I always recognise loads

It is mate, all the time. But the stance of " LOADS pass on tickets suits the closed shop gang" when that is not the case, I saw faces yesterday from Hearts away pre-season, faces from Cardiff away at 12-30pm, Plymouth away and now Villa away..... But going by the closed shop gang, that's not possible as loads pass tickets on......

Is exactly right, I have been going away regularly since the 90s, was at Newcastle through having enough points on MY OWN ticket!
And I saw the usual faces, most faces I saw from the Championship and League One days, and saw the same faces yesterday.

Now I am not saying the passing on of tickets does not go on as we all know it does; however, "LOADS" is absolute rubbish - Define loads -
Thousands?? Hundreds? Or shall we agree it is less than hundreds?

I'll say something, and as most away day regulars will agree with, demand will drop off next season, so for the closed shop gang, your time to shine will come. I wonder what the next whinge will be.... Ha

Unless we are chasing Europe mate, I actually reckon that Everton will drop to 10+ points.

Those that are having issues with the ticket office and their apparent lack of support and understanding for our loyalist supporters should just pretend to support NEC f***ing Nijimegen and they'd have the red carpet rolled out for them. Clearly.

Beyond belief.

There was few yesterday from just hearing people talking. I was talking to couple of young'uns who had just got in but their mates ticket declined at the turnstile...another lad near us also said his mate got declined aswel.

A few is 5. 5 in total is all that is checked at random unless they suspect anything and then they are targeted

This 'suspect targeting' is absolute bullshit by the club btw and what they are doing. I posted on here a lady on our coach was 'targeted' at mags away without an e-mail. She had to go to the ticket officw there and show her account online. She was targeted as she is in her 60's, has 70+ points and they thought "no way, could she be doing every away game".....guess what?? She has done every away for years and there was no reason whatsoever to target her. The whole thing stinks man.

Look who 'celebrates' this at the top of the page.....there is THE problem.

Yep. Thats how I found it. I googled his name and his LinkedIn appeared and on his page was this interaction.

The thing is the club might think well it’s only 65 fans it will blow over after a few weeks, what they don’t understand is each of those 65 will know other away regulars, it will more like over half the away fan base they have pissed off with this probably more , and something which won’t go away

The lack of response from the club would suggest it’s already blown over , for those that can’t go or won’t now go away , they’ll be plenty to take their place.

Paul is regularly buying over a 100 train tickets. Each of those people know people and other people will have perhaps taken over a train ticket at short notice as someone has dropped out and so on. It's a fairly small close nit community when you travel away. And these are our most loyal fans.

A big problem re: support for Paul is fear. The other branches should be and hopefully are appalled by the clubs ridiculous behaviour and overreaction. Discussion and education should have been the first port of call not sanctions. But I would imagine the branches, who will all be shocked at this will be also aware that they could be targetted too. They can't run effectively or economically under these draconian rules. But the club have now set the bar ridiculously high.

The club have offered the fans nothing regarding the return of away tickets. Totally washed their hands. This is actively encouraging people to sell tickets on. Who wants to lose money? Who wants tickets to go to waste? Nobody but the club thinks that's fine. Idiots.

Any branch secretary thinking it's business as usual now is sticking their fingers in their ears and going "La, la, la".
