Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

Outstanding business for who marra ? KLD speakman and co or the fans ?
Replacing best striker in the league guaranteed goals with some academy kids and someone who hit double figures finally at the age of 25 oh and in ukraine league ?!

Outstanding business for the fans and mowbray
What was ross stewarts record when we signed him?

Piroe had a shit record when Swansea signed him.

Gyokeres had a shit record when Coventry signed him.

Its really not that simple

What on earth are you talking about?
Our fans acting as if we won cos yeah we sold stewart but its okay we got some academy kid from chelsea

Ive seen people say its a good window ? Same people who put money on hemir top scorer i take it ? Maybe for safc u21s

The main reason we’re playing championship football (I know plenty contributed but his goals and performances were exceptional).
Good luck to the kid. Good bit of business to get the fee we did given his refusal to sign a new contract, injuries etc. His efforts on the pitch were always excellent but we’ve gone more than half a season without him.
We move on with a large profit on the lad. When was the last time we made a profit like this on a player bought in? We’re moving in the right direction and let’s get behind the lads who’ve come in!
Bought Gabbiadini for 80k in 87 sold him for £1.8m in 91.

They aren't rare exceptions - I can give you more if you like?

The source claiming Clarke is pissed off is also the same source claiming stewart failed his medical and the transfer was off.

We've also signed Rusyn (who will be our maim striker). We didn't have Stewart anyway. He's spent the last year barely being able get out of bed with tearing a ligament/muscle.

We've managed to sell an absolute crock for a fair amount of money. He didn't want to stay, and his contract was almost up. He's the perfect player to cash in on. And we will occasionally have to make a big sale, we can't just continue losing money.

Outstanding for the club. Bought at low cost to the club. Developed and sold for substantial profit. These are the facts that can’t be ignored as they are facts.

Does a fit Ross Stewart guarantee goals? Yes I suppose he does dependent upon a number of factors and variables. IE service, squad around him, his game fitness, his injury potential. All of which nobody knows.

He could be Amazing for Southampton and win the golden boot and if he does fair play. he could also re rupture his injury and do nothing. The majority of fans know this and understand th clubs stance on the Sale IMO. Mowbray has been given strikers so will have to get on with it and time will tell

What were Stewart's goal returns like before we signed him?...

I never said he was 'shite', that's a thing you've made up. He is a crock though, and an out-of-contract one who wanted to go.

From what I've seen of Rusyn he can finish and looks a step up from Hemir also Pritchard not leaving is a positive. The Ross situation needed a conclusion, none of us really wanted it to end this way but he didn't want to stay and we were in limbo. Finally it's done. From the few words he's said about today and the deal he's not shedding any tears about leaving us.

Brilliant news! We've skinned Southampton for a pot load of cash for a proven crock and used the money to buy several exciting starlets that will fire us to playoffs at the very least and will only increase in value in the coming years...

Or, KLD has sold the family silver, pocketed the cash and fobbed us off with a bunch of prepubescent nobodies.

I reserve the right to change my opinion on a daily or weekly basis in the coming weeks - just as I have done hourly today.

Yep. You take the cash for an injured 27 year old who has already indicated he will be leaving for nothing within the year. I don’t know what we’re even talking about.
It's utterly, utterly, utterly ludicrous that there's any whining about it. Big bid, player wants to leave, players contract is up, player is both currently and routinely injured...
