Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

If we don’t sell Stewart to Southampton, who do Southampton go after? The lad at Everton?

going to be a frantic last 36 hours

Southampton will end up paying huge money … for someone

I guess we will find out exactly where we are in our 5yr plan end of Friday. We can’t let someone of Stewart’s calibre go without a replacement especially after how the last few windows have gone with strikers.

Ross does have a say and if they are offering him good money which they will with their parachute payments he may see them as a quicker stepping stone to the big league before us which is fair enough.

If we manage to keep hold of him would still be a gamble for us due to his injury. Personally if we can somehow get a good replacement that is fit and raring to go then happy for him to move on. However if there’s no replacement and I honestly can’t think who that could be then we should stick

Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman added: “Eliezer is an exciting, quick and direct player, who's equally effective with the ball to feet or running beyond opponents. We are delighted to welcome him to Sunderland AFC and I’m sure our fans will enjoy watching him and following his journey with us. He’ll naturally need some time to adapt and integrate, but he’s full of ambition and I know how much he’s looking forward to showing everyone what he's capable of.”

Not sure what you can make of that, I'd suggest his fee would make him pencilled in for third choice?
I reckon Eliezer will do little this season.
