Running Trainers

Can anyone recommend any good and reasonably priced running trainers please? I've heard Asics or New Balance. Is there a certain one known to be better? Ta

Asics are OK, I used to wear Saucony when I did half marathons.

It's not as much the brand that counts, it's whether they're right for your gait, i.e. over or under pronating etc.

Go to a specialised shop to get fitted out properly.

This a hundred times. Oh aye, don't use Foot Locker or Athletes Foot. They'll rip you off!!

New balance shop at Dalton park have a gait analyser machine thingy. Maybe jjb in king street?

PT-03's are the best I've used. I even bought a desert pair. Them and most trainers from New Balance are good IMO.

I have to buy new ones once about every 4-5 month now cos I wear them out easily and start getting shin splints.

I went to the New Balance shop as stated above, dead helpful and they're not there to rip you off, the ones I ended up buying were recommended and were only £30, obviously that's a discounted price so it's not like I was buying cheap cack either

Worth the trip definitely

Nice one Paul

Analyse your own running style with the help of this blonde lass, then, pick the right trainers for you from the same site. They're cheap as chips as well, I've used them for ages.

I took your advice, very good, had a gait analysis, helpful staff and got some bonny running shoes for £22.50 reduced from £65.

Thanks, appreciate it.

Also there's an extra 25% off* store prices.
