Rudoni

"Obviously Sunderland, I guess, changed the whole first XI, which for me is a little bit radical, obviously they're staying up but their identity of who got them there has been somewhat lost"

Missing large parts of the interview where he praised Sunderland.

The article above is missing it too.

Aye, he is, he’ll be one to make the step up next season I reckon.

Coventry owner already getting his excuses in for next season I read recently.
Clearly no intention of spending like Sunderland… I wonder how much of their allowance they have had to spend to get there?
The smaller the budgets for the promoted three the better for us

Be lucky if you get half what we did for Jobe.

Rudoni is mid 20s, never played above the 2nd tier and isn't all that.

Forget Rudoni, do Sunderland fans think Jobe is actually that good?

And I'm glad he is. He will, and should, make it clear that the aim is having a novelty season in the sun building for the future.

We do not want to do what Luton did.

Hes a better player than Rudoni and several years younger.

Was never a £30m player though when we sold him. Just mot excellent business from the club.

I would fully agree with both of those statements.

It was excellent business.

You'll bloody a few noses early on, probably ours tbh. But don't think you'll have the finance and don't think the manager will have anywhere near the tactical skills to keep you up.

Be in a great position financially when you go down like to build.

Not a problem mate. Not really having a go but just highlighting the radical and identity bit.

We have a few playing who were in champ but club recognised we had to recruit a lot. As you must. Harsh as it is .

I think we'll go down with one of the lowest points tally's and our owner will be pretty honest about it. I'd imagine most of our fans would be content with it.

That's pretty much how he explained it in the interview. He was discussing the different options and was certainly not criticising the Sunderland approach.

Really . Recruit well and have a bloody go man

We will recruit well as we have in recent years but won't have the money to have a go at it.

Frank won't be with us for long. I stand by what I said on here 6 months ago, he'll be England manager before we go down.

He was absolutely brilliant for us in the Championship. Possibly our most important player, when he didn't play we didn't win.

He has gone to a team that is currently 2nd in the Bundesliga, played 25 league games and 10 Champions League games.

He has just captained England U21, the lad will have a very good career.

Yeah fair enough although the Romaine Esse just scored for the U21s and will never play a game for the first team.

The money Sunderland got for Jobe is excellent and change the future of the club. Id be surprised if he plays many, if any, games for England.

The lad is 20 years old and has played a fair bit for Borussia Dortmund. He might never win a cap for England but if he can continue to improve he has a chance.

Needs to be managed like Rigg. But they have already stated they won’t be making signings and therefore flogged to death and will struggle.
Best thing for him is to move to a club who will nurture him.
Looks very promising.
He's 25 before next season starts man 😅
