Its a late reply but there was a maltesers advert featuring who I thought was Roy Orbison singing, in 1989, but turns out it was Bobby Darin - Dream Lover
It was an life insurance advertisement. The tag was it featured a little girl growing up through school, college, then leaving her parents' home as a young woman as Roy sang "Your baby's not your baby, any more"! A real mascara alert job if you had daughters......
