For Keane to leave the comfort of TV punditry he would want certain guarantees on future investment, recruitment, etc. He needs to be able to make it a success otherwise why put yourself through the stress of it all? I wouldn't be surprised if his demands are too much for the current regime but they are shitting themselves about the reaction of fans to the alternatives.

I kind of agree. But, it would need to be very carefully done. It was a disaster on Saturday when they tried.

I’m not sure it would be helpful right now, unless it was what everyone wanted to hear. They are in check and running out of chess moves.
