When we sacked LJ, I was f***ing buzzing. Said to our lass" Brilliant, we get Keane as manager and Defoe working with him, as he wants to go in to coaching long term. PERFECT. I was sooo happy I even cut the hedge and mowed the lawn when she asked me. Nothing could burst my bubble. Scroll forward 8 days, and I really don't give a fuck anymore. All that optimism gone.

I'm at the point now, where I don't care if Keane gets the job because the worst thing this has shown us is that the ownership generally ,honestly, totally, do not give a flying fuck what happens to our club.

FUCK EM ALL.

Exactly the same as this. All that momentum going into it pissed against the wall. They can fuck right off.

Hasn’t been a manager for a very long time, isn’t a ‘modern’ footballer (especially when it comes to man management), done nothing of note at Ipswich.

He had one (arguably two) good season with your lot as far as I’m aware, and fell out with everyone from the FA to FIFA.

I don’t see him being the man to build a modern football club around in any way.

Can’t argue with that really, logically it makes little sense and from those outside looking in it probably makes little sense.

However, we are at rock bottom right now. The players have no leadership, the fans are massively pissed off and there’s a lack of confidence running through. Appointing Keane gets the majority (judging by on here and social media) of fans on board, and will hopefully give the players a much needed lift and some guidance / leadership.

It could fail miserably, but I’d rather fail with Keane than with the plodders like Grant McCann and Neil bastard Lennon

Ever since KLD has come in there has never been any quick movement on anything. Even the recruitment through the summer had us concerned on more than 1 occasion that we would start the season short. We played the first few games with not 1 senior fullback in the squad ffs.

When news started to surface that Keane was coming in, I like everyone else was started to feel genuine excitement again. A week on, i'm at the stage where i'm not bothered who comes in - the problem at this club is still clearly at board level. Who is running our club? Who owns our club? The answer to those two questions should be the same...but i doubt there are!!
