Whey man cos the Keano thing came about a curved ball which must have caused a rethink and KS was told to interview himThen why not just appoint him as soon as Johnson was sacked?
You dont obviouslyWe all know now that the ITK’s are full of shite. Seen all the usual suspects gradually moving the goalposts on what will be happening. Nobody has a f***ing clue![]()
Built by charlatans.....which means total collapse. If Keane genuinely wants the job I hope KLD makes him manager.
Forget this head coach bollocks, forget the philosophy, the project.
Get shot of KS and make Keane the decision maker on standards, player recruitment the lot.
I think all we can say for sure right now is that he is not here at this point.Without reading all 20,000 posts, I take it Keane is now not coming?
KLD didn’t appoint Speakman.Personally I think the intentions of KLD are good, I suspect the criticism of Speakman and the coaches currently in charge is an emotional over reaction and an understandable one but here lies the danger of populism. KLD is inexperienced and has tried to please the fans but sacking Johnson was ill advised without a replacement already lined up, Defoe is, much that I love him, a sticking plaster to assuage the support and Keane a high profile gamble that always had the risk of taking time, not happening and not working if it does. They are all high stakes gambles. Time yet for all three to turn out to be inspired but I’m not convinced they were fully informed rational decisions at all.
His intentions are probably good, but I don’t like the way he’s misled us on the ownership of sharesPersonally I think the intentions of KLD are good, I suspect the criticism of Speakman and the coaches currently in charge is an emotional over reaction and an understandable one but here lies the danger of populism. Or put prices up after promising not to.His intentions are probably good, but I don’t like the way he’s misled us on the ownership of shares
I still think Keane could take us up automatically.....at one point last night we were 2nd.....it isn't over yet.
Any withdrawal however would be based on him protecting his stance of wanting to get back into mgt, therefore it would be caveated with contract wasn’t right/club set up wasn’t right……either/both of these will fan the flames with the fans.Last night's performance underlines the fact that if he takes the job Keane will not only have probelms on the pitch he will have to cope with those currently running the Club. That will surely lead to conflict & make the job almost an impossible task. I think as a result of that he will probably withdraw his interest in the job.
Of course if he does withdraw the Club will be spared the embarrassment of declining to appoint him which would reduce the chances of a very tricky situation developing between it & the fans. (or so it might hope).
It is however obvious to many that the longer the recruitment process is dragged out the more than likely it is that a man like Keane will lose his patience.
It’s far from over, but it’s natural for people to have “end of the world” over reactions when we lose some games. Still plenty of points left to play for and we have players who can score goals and win matches.I still think Keane could take us up automatically.....at one point last night we were 2nd.....it isn't over yet.
He won’t hold back on why he turned us down either.Any withdrawal however would be based on him protecting his stance of wanting to get back into mgt, therefore it would be caveated with contract wasn’t right/club set up wasn’t right……either/both of these will fan the flames with the fans.
Club have managed this whole thing horrendously and are now reaping what they have sown.
Wish I could believe mate, truly hope you are right, but for me the situation/confidence levels are too far gone……..still not certain they are gonna give it Keane/he takes itI still think Keane could take us up automatically.....at one point last night we were 2nd.....it isn't over yet.
1 win in 8 and 5 points from the last 21.It’s far from over, but it’s natural for people to have “end of the world” over reactions when we lose some games. Still plenty of points left to play for and we have players who can score goals and win matches.
Mate, if the three teams below win their game in hand, we’re not even in the play offs anymore. We’ve went from needing to gain momentum to catch the top two, to needing to improve on being one of the worst three form teams in this league.I don't think it makes a difference if we got a manager last week, that team wasn't going up automatic anyway.
I'd rather they took a little time to get the right man in, so we can get some form behind us going into the playoffs.
