What do we know as fact;

KLD liked a post about Keane.

Keane grinned his chops off when asked about the job.

Speakman said process ongoing.

Anything else?
Aye...We are dragging our heels when we need a manager in ASAP regardless of who it is.

Mate.
You tell me that a well known North East sports journalist is not on this board, to which I give a tongue in cheek reply.

You then call me a fanny, and then tell me I've got an attitude problem.

As another well known journalist is fond of saying.."You couldn't make it up"
Ive misread your first comment, my mistake.

Your second one wasnt tongue in cheek though, just pissy.

Either way, we dust waselves off and move on

By the time we make an appointment we’ll have dropped 6 points to Doncaster & Cheltenham, putting even the play offs at risk.

This isn’t based on anything other than what we seen with Poyet before Johnson was appointed BUT before last week I couldn’t have see us paying what Keane would demand in salary or working under a DOF.

Think this speculation is actually be driven by Keane’s side in putting his name out there (possibly to see if any championship clubs express an interest) and this has backed the club in to a corner.

Should have known not to get my hopes up, same as before the weekend! We’re going to end up with another dull, uninspiring manager… rinse and bastard repeat!

I doubt he’d walk in a huff. He’s desperate to get back into management and we’re the only club taking him seriously at present, all based on our history together.

We’re his big chance and he won’t want to fuck it up by being typically Roy Keane
Moreover, I hoyed up a piece from David Walsh in yesterday's Sunday Times in which Keane said words to the effect that he'd still want to be our head coach even if we were a non-league club, such is his regard for the place & its people. That doesn't suggest to me that he's going to be making unreasonable financial demands or flouncing off on his huffy bike. The piece is on this thread, somewhere, buried beneath festering hillocks of humanure. Good luck in finding it. That is your mission, Jim, should you choose to accept it. This tape will self-destruct in 30 seconds....

You can just see Keane walking away in a few days after getting led along by Speakman can't you.

I hope (if that happens) there is ****ing hell for the leadership at this club.
Totally I said exactly the same thing he will tell them to go fuck themselves and they obv don’t want him enough ,he’s already mentioned the club has got to want you on the tv then they are interviewing other people
