What a shower.

And we wonder why we are in this position.

Yep another season when the squad down tools for the final third of the season.

Its as if they don't want promotion because they prefer to remain on easy street in Div 1 and keep topping up their contracts if they can.

KLD does not want to spend money thats for sure.

He even said earlier in this season if we didn't go up this year its the long term plan thats more important.

That comment was largely ignored or missed by many. But for long term fans another season in D1 is a horrific prospect.

Whilst in the meantime teams like Blackpool Wigan Rotherham Hull Peterborough can hop up the divisions without our massive fan base or infrastructure or vast cat 1 Academy ... which still produces very little at a cost of millions per year.

Just not good enough KLD and little better than Donald.

I doubt he’ll be here before Tuesday’s game, and with automatic promotion being over now I suppose it doesn’t really matter if Speakman wants to take another week for some reason. Disappointing how poorly they’ve handled it though.
Don't think Keane will be writing an automatic spot off mind

If Keane wants to come, and bearing in mind he allegedly approached us to say he was interested, then there's a deal to be done. If we didn't want him outright then we could have said "thanks, but no thanks".

So there's a sticking point somewhere, either over terms or someone at our end doesn't want him. If it's terms then we should be working that out and we'd have a decent idea if it's 'doable' or if not, "thanks but no thanks". The fact they're still alluding to taking their time, more interviews, gathering data to discuss etc etc leans to the fact someone in the process doesn't want him and is building a case for choosing someone else. It was mooted by one of the itks over the road that not everyone at the club was onboard with it and it also got mentioned in the press.

So who is it that isn't on board? Not KLD as he could just say it's not happening and look elsewhere and "thanks but no thanks" and make it public. So for me it's someone else, whether or not it's Speakman I don't know although his interview pre-match yesterday was everything you'd expect from someone wanting to build a case for someone else.

A bloke who's missus works for a company that subcontracts work at a club, (not Sunderland), knows a fella who once worked at a newspaper, and now fits gym equipment at football training facilities, who says he bumped in to a guy that was friends with the cousin of a lad who is well conected at a club.................

Nobody knows.

Lets just hope eh 🤞🤞🤞

We need this done now. No ifs, buts or 'won't be rushed...' while we blunder around, pissing away points. Now!
.

The only reason I can see it taking this long is if there's another candidate we haven't heard of yet in the running. if it's between Keane, Lennon, McCann and Warnock then surely it'd be a no brainer.
