Said in his first interview they are always succession planning which means they should of had who they wanted in place !

Unfortunately he talks utter shit
That’s a bit harsh! He comes across as a smart guy. I think they had someone lined up and then Keane made himself available. They are simply exploring all options.

He kind of said that though. But then went on to mention that it's got to be someone who gets Sunderland, because the job isn't just coach of any team, its specific to us.

Same if you're in for a player and then someone more suitable comes up.

Amazing how many new members have signed up to defend the way the club is run
Iveeen supporting the club for over 50 years. I’m not defending the club just stating the obvious. Succession planning only gets you part of the way. If it is to be Keane I guarantee his solicitor will be involved and each clause will be painstakingly pored over. Some people on here think the decision and then execution can be done in seconds. Naive!

It's announced today, around 4, after he's off air or it ain't happening.
I agree with this, at a push tomorrow morning. The interview has taken place, talks etc, theirs no point dragging heels Keane doesn’t strike me as character as someone who would accept ‘yeah u take ur time with the process Kristian’
The Only thing that should/Would delay is these weekends commitments with tv
Anything past tomorrow he’s not coming

He'd be struggling if he had less. I'm actually astounded how slow the lad is

We said we wanted an out and out defender, strong experienced etc. No good parting like the red sea and letting several opposition players run at him though, not like we've bought Rio in his prime or even a Nosworthy type defender.

He been poor so far but I kind of have a bit of sympathy with him at the moment.
