Aye , can never work out why it's in North yorks . Always feels more attached to Goole , Howden , Bubwith in East Yorks or even Leeds . Richmond it's not
Aye it was in the old West Riding but defo more like Howden & Goole than Ponte and Cas which are probably a similar distance away.
Might have been different if they had decided to mine the coal there in the 1870s instead of the 1970s because despite the influx of miners it never became a mining area culturally.
