there is no plan for continuity on the head coach position..why would there bbe? there never is at any club?
Because when a manager stays in a position for a long time it is nearly always because of good results on the pitch. I’m not sure how you can’t see that, is this bloke just on a wind up?

No problem.

Main reason I want Keane is it shows the club are not messing about . If not , and he refuses ( which he could), then I trust they get right person and gets my backing. But not Lennon or Woodgate as touted.
Note to self: Keep out of all discussions pertaining to football.
Passions run high don't they. I hope you get the best man for the job.

Comments from someone who has never understood what it’s like to be a supporter but rather has a small stake in a club where his personal gain is everything. That gain which is ultimately bled from the supporters he’s deriding.
eh? what gain do you think methven will make? the pandemic means the original owners will not make a profit due to the amounts they had to put in o keep the club going..

If he decides not to take it there’s gonna be some reaction…….bloke who does get it instead of Keane is already starting the gig needing snookers.

I’ll be deflated definitely but in reality I couldn’t care less who the manager is as long as we get promoted.
This ^^^^^^

The club have potentially got themselves into a big mess over this - fueled unfortunately by too many Keane fan-boys

The personal interview part should be just to make sure they can work together, on both sides. Anyone can bullshit an interview..

Surely they’ve got to focus on past records of the coaches pure and simple, plus they must be doubting themselves as a recruitment team having got the last one wrong, Speakman is now massively under pressure himself with this appointment which adds a different flavour to last time.

Appointing Johnson as a coach to implement philosophy was a bit of a woolly statement. He might have been good on the training ground but was pretty woeful in-game and tactically…

Plus, we’re not up against masterminds each week - the teams that have tonked us have just been physical and wanted it more, bullying the opposition isn’t tactical.

Keane is surely on par if not in advance of any current coach in league 1… the standard is not exactly high..

My only worry is can he instill an aggression, desire, confidence in this current squad of players or is that where the limitation lies..

Either way, he is certainly the best of a bad bunch of candidates.

Exactly.

They said in the interview they track players for about a year and do all the analysis, so they'd look a bit daft going for Keane

"So Roy what have you done"

"well nowt for 13 years but I was good last time I was here and the fans like me"

eh? if a manager gets good results on the pitch...the club want tjhe to stay of course..but they get poached by bigegr wealghier clubs..thats why planning for continuity os stupid and the most successful clubs dont do it

What cobblers, I suspect Roy Keane is entirely comfortable doing anything he wants and if other people take an interest so be it
I don't think he craves publicity at all
keanes angics in recent years show he likes publciity...he even set up an instagram avocunt last year..how many fifty year odl blokes do that? and whats their motivation to do it?
