Did mcann sign Honeyman for Hull?Do you think McCann is the right thing for the club?
Could be me mind playing tricks, but I seem to remember a few Saturday afternoons when it came down the business end of the season where they came back from behind a few times to win games.Because he was manager of the champions of League One last year? They played good, attacking football and had a lot of self belief about them. Johnson has never got a team promoted and he lacked self belief.
He can have done all that and more, BUT...and this is key. He is the very definition of uninspiring. The kind of appointment that has had the fans so low for so long.We want to get promoted. I am not saying McCann is my choice but he isn't nearly as bad as people are making out.He got Doncaster to the play offs which is good, he got Hull promoted as champions playing good attacking football. I happen to think, listening to Speakman, we have a structure around the head coach that is better than all League One clubs and better than most Championship clubs. This should make a manager perform better - it didn't so much with Johnson it could work with McCann or Alex Neil.
Not sureDid mcann sign Honeyman for Hull?
If you watched the Gary Neville interview with Keane the other day I think it’s fair to say Keane won’t have a private number plate !!
I get it mate. I am not saying he is the answer or my choice. There are many reasons for clubs to be relegated as we know. That getting Hull promoted on his cv is beyond argument a positive. Getting Doncaster to the play offs is a positive. I am sure the interview process would focus on what went wrong for him to get relegated.Who was their manager when they got relegated from the championship after they’d finished 13th the season before?
This. Because presumably there is nowt else going on. It's embarassing.
Some of these tabloid twitterers and 'writers' are a joke. Me or you could literally do what they do.
When we appointed Denis Smith he was quite a dour steady character but he had grit. When we appointed Coleman he had charisma in buckets. We all want Keane but it is blinding us to exactly what we need.He can have done all that and more, BUT...and this is key. He is the very definition of uninspiring. The kind of appointment that has had the fans so low for so long.
It could be his Mrs They are bound to be a two car family.I’m under no illusion it’s him. There’s no logical reason he’d have driven down my street.
Just saying it’s a sign I tell ya!
'Some' I saidI mean the mail broke the story like mate
At this stage I think the bulk of the resistance to McCann (and other candidates) is that they’re not Roy Keane. We want to get promoted. I am not saying McCann is my choice but he isn't nearly as bad as people are making out.He got Doncaster to the play offs which is good, he got Hull promoted as champions playing good attacking football. When we appointed Coleman we were absolutely shite and on a massive downward spiral. When we appointed Denis Smith he was quite a dour steady character but he had grit. When we appointed Coleman he had charisma in buckets. We all want Keane but it is blinding us to exactly what we need.
I'd like to know how anyone gets a 45 plate when they aren't released yet.Car with the registration KE45 ANE just drove past mine.
Obviously nothing to do with an interview or anything as I live in a part of the country which isn’t where Sunderland is, or where Roy Keane lives, but I’m taking it as an omen![]()
I wonder if Downie et al took any stick for not being alive to a story that went nuts on Twitter and was the second most watch feed that day .It was due to the way Phillie did his job but highlighted a much bigger problem with the mediaThe social media age is to blame like. Journos would get time to research prep and write articles but now they get usurped by a club DJ in a woolly hat with a smart phone so have to churn out regular regurgitated baseless pap.
Parkinson got teams promoted from this division as well.I get it mate. I am not saying he is the answer or my choice. There are many reasons for clubs to be relegated as we know. I am sure the interview process would focus on what went wrong for him to get relegated.
Me thumb has got a stitch atmDitto, at this rate I'll be scrolling through this on my phone at the match instead of watching it...
I'd rather listen to Danny than MarcoThis is what Danny Collins said -“what you don’t see with Roy Keane is the other side -his dry sense of humor “
“He lets the lads have a few beers and relax but when it comes to work time ( training and games ) he’s very focused “
He went on to add that if players are late for training ect he gets annoyed and will call them out on it and “ rightly so “ as Danny put it
If you are turning up on time and someone is late regularly in any walk of life that needs sorting but particularly when you only train for an hour and a half
Danny is one person I would really trust with his insight
