The ITKs have basically said it's done and I understand that things can change but if it turns out that he hasn't even been interviewed yet then their credibility is in ruins

If it's not a done deal then it would have been really stupid and naive from them to like those posts.

Absolutely. Its provided excitement but I don’t think it’s the most sensible approach. If it goes wrong, its going to be fairly spectacularly demotivating. We’d have people putting on a brave face with whoever we appoint and saying they’re a good appointment but it won’t be genuinely felt.

We've got the best players in this league, on the whole imo. We don't need spellbinding tactics or formation changes to suit the opposition etc. We need a never say die winning mentality throughout the squad. Someone who'll demand an extra 10% out of everybody from the first whistle to the last. Someone like Keane could do that. Grant McCann most certainly won't.
