I’ve noticed a trend.

Keane has achieved little in a tiny managerial career yet because people love him he’s the right one for the job. Lennon has achieved loads at every club he’s been to yet because nobody loves him he’s the wrong choice.
Aye but everytime Lennon had a job outside of Celtic he was piss poor. Anyone could win titles at Celtic

Hope so cloughy...
Given his past record, Monsieur Dreyfus would be un imbécile to take any notice of that daft ****. Unless, of course he uses him in the way I use my sister in law, which is to say that I do the opposite of anything she recommends or suggests. Thus far, it has proved to be an unassailable method of decision making, ha, ha.

Err, it is somewhat f***ing relevant that the "little" he achieved was at our club though, don't you think?!

Having just seen gabby ablongahor views on keane on talksport, that's exactly the reason I think its a bad idea.
I think it’s the reason we need someone like Keane.

If you listen to that interview with Neville he admits he didn’t like the villa dressing room because of ‘5 or 6 of the most unprofessional players he’d ever had to work with’.

He also rightly stated that none of those players went on to do nowt with their careers proving him right.

But we as a club shouldn't have to sell ourselves to anyone IMHO. Whoever comes should be humbled and thankful that they are going to be manager/head coach of Sunderland.

If we start having to sell our club to a manager/head coach then they aren't the right fit for us. It should never be a case of what we can off a possible manager/head coach/player/kit man/whatever it should be what they can offer us.

We start worrying about proving to someone we are 'ambitious enough for him to bother his arse with the project' (the phrase I took exception too) then its the most small time attitude we could take
Oh behave yourself.

We are a confirmed third division club that cannot get fu***ng promoted ffs.

The days when people should be grateful to manage or play for us are long gone mate.

Nobody loves this club more than me, but that is the reality. Just being Sunderland isn't enough anymore.

The small-time mentality you speak of is what got us here in the first fu***ng place.
The big time is here for us to grab, and yes, I am grateful to Keane for seeing us as worthy.

When we are back with the big boys, then you can Lord it, but until then, smell the coffee and get in the real world.
