Roy Keane

This is what I don't understand... The safe option for Roy Keane is to do punditry work ...he's the golden ticket on that it's safe and secure....if he does take the job with us ,and does fail ...then his managerial career will be over as he will have then failed on his last 2 jobs .....it's a bigger gamble for Keane taking the job then us offering him it if you ask me.
If he's the golden ticket, there'll be a job waiting for him when he leaves here.

His contract at sky is up in the summer anyway.

If our club appoint Lennon, then all the good will with regards to the Defoe appointment will go down the toilet with one foul flush.
This is entirely what Iam afraid of especially if Donald has any input on the recruitment of the new manager.

well he is acting when on there...and ive no dout they get told to be outraged about cettian stuff..

who else would negotate keanes contracts? he doesnt have an agent, even during his career his lawyer did that, a lot of irish players and arsenal players used the chap..but he hsadly died since

funny how you were such a defender of Methven and all them, who are the very definition of clowns, a bunch of thick, morally reprehensible arrogant, soft cock cowardly broth heads, yet you are quite critical of Roy Keane, who coincidentally would see straight through Methven after a 5 minute conversation, would take him out to the car park to slap him around a little, but wouldn't end up laying a finger on him through pity as Methven lay on the floor crying, with piss all over his trousers

find me examples of when i defended methven?
In my view, Donald will have approximately the same input as me, hossifer....
i think you are right and I hope you are right

Gary Neville was welcomed back with open arms after being a monumental f#ck up as a manager.

Today will be him sitting down with the club and seeing if they are ambitious enough for him to bother his arse with the project.
It's them that need to impress him, not the other way around.
Hope they are on time, and look smart enough for him.
Roys force of nature should blow them away…..but maybe the appointment will be made on the data

Didn't say he sees himself bigger than the club. Neither has he. He has great respect for the club.
He is however head and shoulders above the rest of the field, and knows his own worth and ability, and he will not work for people with anything less than his exacting standards.
They need to be up to it, or he will walk.
But we as a club shouldn't have to sell ourselves to anyone IMHO. Whoever comes should be humbled and thankful that they are going to be manager/head coach of Sunderland.

If we start having to sell our club to a manager/head coach then they aren't the right fit for us. It should never be a case of what we can off a possible manager/head coach/player/kit man/whatever it should be what they can offer us.

We start worrying about proving to someone we are 'ambitious enough for him to bother his arse with the project' (the phrase I took exception too) then its the most small time attitude we could take

so now we have a poster who doesn't want Keane asking would we have him if he was a completely different bloke? Well no we wouldn't cos that wouldn't be Roy Keane would it? The clues in the f***ing name
Then another poster reckons his punditry is written by Michael Whitehall or summit
