Football doesn’t work like that though mate. He’s also been in around the game, he was assistant for the Irish national team for 5 years
That's true, and I suppose the thinking is that his role would be similar as he'd be more of a coach than a manager. I just think it's a massive risk that we wouldn't consider for anyone else with similar experience and results

Hopefully just sorting out the finer details of the contract and keanes on going sky contract

I like the idea that its initially going to be until the end of the season when both sides will then decide whats best from there on

He’d be mad not to take it. As another poster pointed out its likely to be his last chance to manage a big club again, unless he came in and nailed it of course

Im positive he’ll take the challenge on

Probably the only one who can understand it. Mind we'll have to wait until midnight for his translation because he'll need his magic potion first.
That’s why I sent it to him. It’ll make perfect sense after a few frostys

What's the massive risk?
What are the alternatives?
Average journeymen managers, with not a worthwhile English football success between them.

The big risk is missing out on Keane.

Mccann or Lennon don't have a window until the summer. Are they the ones to motivate, fire up our players, fans and city for one hell of a push and go at it this season to get us over the line?

I don't think so.

Roy is our best chance of nicking 2nd place, and if it comes to it, one I'd have most belief in getting us through play offs.

It makes no sense not to go for him like. If it doesn't work out, we start afresh come the summer.

I'll have a big decision to make Saturday if it is Keane.

I'd love to be there for his (and Defoes) first home game, but I have the kids football training to run Saturday morning...
