Imagine that at atmosphere on Saturday if you had him confirmed and in the stands along with Defoe returning. Would be amazing.

Although, from my neutral perspective I'd certainly miss him on Sky.

💯 me and a really good mate (RIP marra) used to have an inside joke where we’d refer to people at work as “nice guys” as in nice guys but shit at their job. Basically implying there were sound to have a pint with but a nightmare to work with. Same works in reverse. I can work with/for people I don’t like if they’re good at what they do and fair with it even if they’re nobbers.
Very true. I worked for a bloke many years ago when I first started out that I couldn’t stand on a personal level, but if it hadn’t been for him and what he taught me about the job I wouldn’t be where I am now.

The whole country will, we’re going to be hated from other fans because we’ve took the most straight talking pundit off Sky.

From BBC Sport.

Roy Keane is under consideration for the vacant manager's job at Sunderland, more than 13 years after he left Wearside.

Sorry for longer post than usual but I need you all to convince me this could be the right appointment and not a romanticised mistake.
Hear me out keanos 1st stint as manager co-incided with the 3 seasons in a row I got to every game league, cups even friendlies, I was early 20's on the drink each game we were brilliant to follow that promotion season some of the best memories, however Keane spent a lot of cash to get us out the league and also hampered us spending again in the prem, he leads through fear a tactic that this day n age of weak minded players really doesn't work his stints at other clubs didn't really work out either.

I want to be excited by this I honestly do I've remembered the young hungry team he put together with the few wise heads to help and of course nothing less than 100% is good enough for keano, the way it should be, I think honestly I'm just fearful of another disappointing kick in the balls come may
For good old pros read Wright, Batth, Evans and Defoe. This squad is pretty similar to the one he got us promoted with. At this level I would say it is actually better.

Is anyone watching SSN ? Just wondering if Downie is reporting from our place. Be a bit hypocritical after that tweet he sent out the other day !
Not newsworthy last week because we are in league 1, but the second Roy Maurice Keane rocks up........ 🤔
👀

Yeah the old " wait till they've finished their piss before you run a cloth round the urinal" was a godsend :)
