Roy Keane

Logically I wouldn't want Keane for a number of reasons, but looking at the other names linked not one of them inspires or impresses me, would much rather have the excitement factor with Keane than any of the others on the list.
I’ve been thinking on it for a day or two now and this is what swung it for me. At this point in the season who else would give the club and more importantly the players the jolt they need? Now it may go tits up but sometimes you just have to be brave. One thing with Keane is less than 100% one hundred percent of the time is unacceptable. Some of these players may not like that but they’ll need to ask themselves if they will be better for it.

To be fair, Roy never shied away from trying to beat teams.

Aye, I can think of 3 or 4 key games in the PL alone where he went for it and it cost him.

Same on the other end of the scale though, Spurs 1-0, the win against Derby, 2-1 vs West Ham, and the first win against the Mags especially are all games when many managers would probably have settled for the point.

Differing opinions within the ownership group? I thought we were assured some of them had absolutely no say?

More teams are now playing this 'pressing' game which wasn't so popular 15 years ago.

Players and agents run the show these days - look at how transfers are engineered.

Liverpool have ditched Wijnaldum and signed Jota. Man City have changed personnel regularly.

Anything else you haven't noticed ?
Liverpool were playing the pressing game in 70s.

Agents have been about since the 70/80s.

Teams have changed personal since day dot.

So in which way as the game moved on?

Keane was an international coach a few years ago and he’s gonna be coaching us in league 1 man I could understand the concerns maybe in the championship or prem your not gonna get a better coach at this level
