Promotion experience is key apparently. So why not Keane. He say who else is? One sounds like mccann is

Really interesting snippet at 35:30 in this interview, about how Keane loves preparing for games and working with players, but doesn't miss the other stuff (contracts, academy issues etc) of club management.
I'm not sure it's anywhere near as clear cut as "he wouldn't want to work in the system". I reckon that as long as he had the final say on transfers (working with Speakman and the recruitment bods), he would absolutely love the idea of having nothing else to do but focus on the team and the next. Let Speakman get on with academy stuff, negotiating contracts, dealing with the medical team etc.
If he gets the job (and I really hope he does), it will be because he's discussed the role with Speakman, is clear on what his role is and is happy to do it.
Watch the first bit of this after the joking about the Christmas jumpers when Richards asks him how he’d deal with De Gea and Maguire after he criticised them so much. Exactly what you need in a man manager.Exactly this.
People think he'd be like an old fashioned Cloughie style bloke wanting to have complete control over anything...when in actual fact that's complete BS.
Tell me more about this new approach and why you feel so certain it’s unsuited to Roy Keane in particularJobs for the boys influenced by a fan whose reminiscing.
It’s nostalgic as the fella hasn’t managed in TWELVE years. He’s had two club jobs as an assistant that haven’t lasted a calendar year, too. He doesn’t fit what we’ve been told is our new approach.
I’ll be honest, I’ve barely enjoyed a second of being in League One and the excitement has been on par with waiting for a dentist appointment when you’ve got toothache. Appointing a man with the credentials of Keane does nothing to improve these. I want out of this league and I don’t know if Keane is the right person to follow Johnson. I liked him the first time around and it was good while it briefly lasted but it’s been a hell of a long time since he left and a hell of a long time since he’s had a job as manager.
The position we’re in, both on the pitch and off it, should mean we’re well beyond appointing someone who hasn’t worked in twelve year and doesn’t suit the approach we’ve taken thus far this season.
Keane back would be a disaster - been out of management, no money, a squad that will not meet his exacting standards.
He’s not capable of getting a tube out of this squad.
Divvent give a shit xThe amount of stick we gave the mags over Keegan
But this place is just as nuts about Keane

Keane in Jones ear I reckonSure Dave Jones will have been in his ear.
I'm sure that's what's prompted (if true) at least an interview this time around..Sure Dave Jones will have been in his ear.
