In so many ways this would be a mad appointment.

Doesn’t fit the new model

Walked away / was sacked when his methods were questioned last time

Done nothing as a manager since he left us years ago

Hasn’t managed for some time

Yet despite all the above I’d love him to get the job in so many ways 😀😀😀
 
I'd prefer this over the likes of Warnock, McCann etc.


If Keane seriously wants to get back into management then this is a great job to take on. I think he'll accept a DOF here (nothing to go bu mind!) as this provides him with the best opportunity to return to management
 
I still rank that promotion season under Keane as my favourite season. We were heading for the drop, then he came along and we won the league. I remember Quinny saying the players grew another two inches the second Roy walked through the door.

I knew Coleman was a mug.

Ross was uninspiring but worth a shot given the circumstances.

Sussed Johnson from the off - complete and utter bluffer.

Would have kept faith with O'Neill. Di Canio was a disaster. The 3-0 was a player reaction and fuck all to do with the mad man. O'Shea even said as much.

Was gutted about Poyet. Congerton should have been the man to go. I'd had me doubt for years but that's the moment it became abundantly clear that the hierarchy at the club was not fit for purpose.

The timing for Moyes looked right, but unfortunately it was completely off.


Parkinson just summed the chancers up. Actually felt a bit sorry for him to be honest.
