Hasn’t managed in over 10 years? No thanks
He’s been heavily involved in Irish football
Id love him back but i dont see it working in the current model.
I kind of do. It seems very professional, meticulous - quite a forward thinking big club approach which is how he likes it. Recruitment using analysis of personality etc. I think he’d enjoy adding something to it. The only difference would be he would be a coach so would need to spend more time with the players than last time when he was very much the manager.

He's a out and out football man and no nonsense. I am not dising you, I genuinely agree with most of your football posts.

I don’t disagree mate about him being a football man and no nonsense, but imo there is a reason no club had taken a chance on him since Ipswich.

I know he has been coach, but there is a big difference between being a coach and a manager.

Aren't we looking for a head coach?

Lets face it, fans who want Roy Keane in aren't thinking about promotion. They're getting excited about the thought of an angry Keano 'tearing into them' overpaid fancy dans.

If the team aren't going to deliver fans promotion then the fact that they have a tyrant at the helm dishing out bollockings gives them some comfort.

"Shame we didn't get promoted ay Bob?"

"Yeah but at least we knar Keano has given Luke O'nien a black eye. I'll sleep well this summer"

I don't think so, many remember Keano for establishing high standards at the club, remember when we best shef wed away 4-2 I think it was and he went mental because we almost threw it away? He raised the entire professionalism and standards across the place and took us to promotion and kept us there. He is a massive character, tell me last time we had a manager do well here who wasn't a larger than life character? Keane, Sam, McCarthy to certain extent, Reid.

Grayson, Ross, Parkinson do not have the characteristics to succeed here.

Reckon fans probably just remember him as the last manager to get us promoted myself, but don't let that stop you having a pop at people.

That deadline day on the yellow bar at bottom of screen was just all Sunderland😂, he assembled a good squad tbf.. Connolly, Edwards, Murphy etc best promotion push I’ve seen us go on considering where we were in league.
The things was he knew most of those players he signed via the ROI and Man U eg Connolly, Kav, Murphy and also of course Dwight to name 4……shoukd he be appointed again i doubt hed know about very few of our players

Actually, I'd imagine people are thinking about promotion. You know, like when he got us promoted?

He should come back.....Some of the names people are politicking are the same fans who wanted to give the hobbit a new contract the other week!

Who was the last manager to lead this club to promotion?

I'd have him here for that never say die attitude that he instilled right to the final whistle. Even with all of the signings that he made, we still had limitations but he ensured that the players put everything in to the last 10 minutes and by Christ it was effective.

The timing isn't great though with deadline closing today.
