Utterly ludicrous idea to have him back! He got us promoted many, many years ago and spent an absolute fortune. He bought a lot of dross and since leaving Sunderland was such a failure he's been unable to get a job since as anything other than an assistant. I'd rather have SKP, Defoe or a traffic cone!

Most overrated manager in our history on here! Had a good year in the championship and yes kept us up but he spent an absolute fortune on largely rubbish, the football wasn’t great and then walked.

Went to Ipswich, done nowt and then hasn’t managed again

He done a very good job here and attracting players was very difficult given our prior 2 seasons in the top flight we managed a combined 34 points.

Most people on here said KLD wouldn’t sack Johnson or act quickly -wrong
Maybe our owner and his advisers are a bit more savvy than he gets credit for ( I don’t think we know )
He goes to under 23 games ( I kna ) but at least he’s one of about 250 that bother -he’s keen -not frightened to make decisions-maybe he could be a goood owner to work with ? Who knows
 
Bring him home, he can't be any worse than the crap we have had in recent years. He will give the place that buzz again, Ha'way Keano get yourself down to the SOL
 
He wouldn’t want to be a head coach, so it’s a non-starter. He’d want control of transfers rather than just “final say” etc.
